The Holiday season is in full swing, and now is the perfect time for a holly-jolly road trip! Here are a few festive destinations to help you celebrate the most wonderful time of the year.

Santa Claus, IN

This small town proudly holds the title of “America’s Christmas Hometown.” Browse more than 8,000 ornaments, and other holiday goodies at the giant Santa Claus Christmas Store. Treat your sweet tooth to a visit to the historic Santa’s Candy Castle, offering 35 flavors of cocoa and more sugary goodness. Enjoy dozens of holiday-themed events and delicious dining. Best of all, you can park your RV at Sun Outdoors Lake Rudolph, with full-hookup sites featuring 30 amp and 50 amp service.

Christmas, FL

Not to be outdone by the Hoosier state, Florida has a Christmas-themed community of their own. Just outside of Orlando, the Mecca of family vacation fun, this town has a little bit of everything. You can tour the historic Fort Christmas, built in 1837. Of course, there are also light displays, parades and more holiday events. You can find a full-hookup site at Christmas RV Park – just look for the giant Santa.

St. Augustine, FL

Sure, sunny Florida is not top-of-mind when it comes to Holiday magic, but St. Augustine is a must-see experience. You will not want to miss the jaw-dropping light display that spans the 20 blocks of the historic district. Add the culture, shopping and cuisine that St. Augustine is known for, and you have a very cheery holiday destination indeed. Close by, Stage Coach RV Park, Ocean Grove RV Resort and Anastasia State Park have plenty of sites for visiting RVs.

Durango, CO

The small town of Durango embraces the holidays, with a month-long celebration that attracts families from across the country. The highlight is the chance to ride the official Polar Express Train and meet Santa on the way. Of course, Durango also has plenty of skiing and snowmobiling if you like your holidays to be a little more adventurous. Stay in style at the Westerly RV Park, where you might see the historic Durango & Silverton Narrow Gauge Train puffing by. The camp also includes laundry facilities, grocery and hardware stores.
