Before you pack up the family and set out on a good-weather get-away, make sure your Fleetwood RV® is tuned up and ready for the road.
Check all of the critical components that make your Fleetwood RV run: belts, hoses, battery and engine fluid levels, plus your engine, transmission, and generator.
Inspect your tires and replace, rotate, or adjust the pressure as needed.
LightsCheck and double-check all exterior lighting: headlamps, tail lights, brake lights, and clearance lights. Replace any non-functioning interior bulbs as well.
Alarms, detectors, and extinguishers
Maintain your family’s safety indoors by making sure your smoke & carbon monoxide detectors are working and that your fire extinguisher doesn’t need to be replaced.
Heading west or south might make your spring travel feel more like summer. Make sure your AC is ready to keep the whole family cool and comfortable. Check for any damage to the cover and remember to replace your air filter annually.
Seals & Leaks
Stay dry inside during this thawing, rainy season. Before you leave town, look around, above and under the motorhome for obstructions or leaks. Make sure your indoor seals are in top shape as well.
Check your filtration system and tanks to make sure the water you use for cooking, cleaning, and drinking is clean and safe for the whole family.
